Romantic Wine for Valentine’s Day

Updated: Jul 6, 2020

Rock artwork representing a man giving a heart to his Valentine.

A really good bottle of wine for Valentine’s Day is always a winner. You can also add an extra romantic twist with these love-themed bottles of wine. I’ve found a few that give that extra romantic twist, and still manage to taste great once opened. There is nothing worse than going the extra mile to impress with that beautiful bottle of wine and then the taste doesn’t complete the experience. These bottles won’t disappoint!

Wine for Valentine’s

Cupid strikes again with this beautiful artwork on the label. This is a beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa that gets a 92 rating.

Terra Valentine label

Terra Valentine Spring Mountain District Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley, California Rated: 92

This wine is produced by Kim Crawford. So you know the wine will be great. And the label isn’t too over the top with gushy sentiment.

LoveBlock Pinot Noir label

LoveBlock Pinot Noir Central Otago, New Zealand Rated: 93

This is a beautifully designed bottle with its base in the shape of roses. Their website explains, “A wine to be given in the same way you would offer a bunch of roses.” This creates such a nice romantic gesture and a great way to start off the evening.

Bottle of Cote des roses

Cotes de Roses Rose Gerard Bertrand Languedoc-Rousillon, France Rated: 90

You could go all out with this stunning bottle from Perrier Jouet. This will definitely make a lasting impression.

Chocolate for Valentine’s

If you plan to celebrate with a little chocolate and wine, remember that the wine needs to be sweeter than the chocolate. So, if you are pairing a red wine make sure you have nice dark chocolate. Otherwise, the wine will taste bitter.

Better yet, pick up a Port. You can’t go wrong pairing chocolate with Port since it is a sweet, fortified dessert wine.

Celebrate with Wine for Valentine’s Day

Enjoy your Valentine’s Day whether you are celebrating with your sweetie or with your wonderful friends. Treat yourselves with a little extra love this year. Cheers!
